International Learn To Fly Day and Fly-In
The airport will host the public for an opportunity to get acquainted with aviation. Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1461 will host presentations and aircraft displays, including homebuilt aircraft. The Fauquier Aviators Booster Club will be grilling lunch. Aviation Adventures flight school will host an Open House, free Learn To Fly Seminars, display training aircraft, and offer Adventure Flights. The Learn To Fly Seminars will be in the airport conference room at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 2:00 PM. There will be a Moon Bounce and movies for the kids, door prizes, a live bluegrass band, and a chance to win free flight training. SkyWorld Aviation Flight School to be acquired by Aviation Adventures
Aviation Adventures, LLC, headquartered in Manassas, Virginia, will acquire SkyWorld Aviation's flight school operation effective Friday, May 14, 2010. The current flight school aircraft will remain and the staff will move to the airport office, but flight training operations will continue uninterrupted.
